Abstract Background

DTE Research

DTE Research is a component of DTE that is pivotal to our success.  The individual research teams focus on developing research to find the best way to test and implement day and existing engineering products made by the various design and software teams

The Research team conducts research on the usability, scope, and impact of the technologies created by the Dream Team Engineering Project Teams. We are dedicated to understanding current research relevant to our move technologies as well as formulating experimental designs to understand their clinical impacts. Our members have the opportunity to collaborate with UF administration and faculty on projects that may have a direct impact on UF Health Shands. The research team is primarily focused on data acquisition in clinical settings through dry lab techniques.

Currently, the team is focusing on researching the clinical utility of the MRI team's model MRI that will eventually be parlayed into an experimental study to reduce anxiety and anesthesia rates in children at UF Shands Children's Hospital.
